Die Histrionicotoxine sind eine Gruppe von chemisch verwandten Substanzen, welche in der Haut von Baumsteigerfröschen, hauptsächlich Oophaga histrionica, vorkommen.[1] Histrionicotoxine sind potente Antagonisten des nikotinischen Acetylcholinrezeptors.
Aus chemischer Sicht sind diese Substanzen durch die terminalen Alkingruppen interessant.
